An Easter Bunny Display from the Early 90s
Talk about a throwback! This rabbit is from one of our Easter displays from the early 1990s. DW Designs Inc has been creating unique holiday decor for malls and other public destinations for over 20 years. Our Christmas and Easter sets are truly one-of-a-kind. Soft Play Area Features--Not Just the Basics!
In today's world, toddlers and young children get bored easily. Many of them frequently play on their parent's iPads or smartphones and are used to the fast pace of technology. Needless to say, a soft play area in a mall or airport can quickly get boring for these technologically hip youngsters. As one of the leading manufacturers of children's soft play areas, we are faced with the challenge of keeping the kids and parents that visit our play areas entertained.
Yes, our bright and whimsical soft play pieces are key to the experience. But we also add unique features like shoe cubbies and our special safety flooring. Features like these make the experience better for both the children and their caretakers.

Could Soft Play Areas Save the Retail Industry?
It has been widely reported that shopping at malls is on the decline, and Internet shopping is slowly but steadily rising. Fourth-quarter retail sales have declined greatly, as shown by this graph:
The opposite is happening for online shopping. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that e-commerce made up 6% of all retail sales in 2013, up from just 3.5% in 2008.
So how do we get customers back in the mall instead of shopping online? Soft play areas might be the answer. Well, not the entire answer, but a big part of it. Malls need to become a destination in today's market. They can no longer just be the landlord of several stores. Shoppers need a reason to venture outside of their houses and go to the mall. Soft play areas provide a meeting place. Visitors don't need to purchase items while visiting the play place, but they often do. Shopping centers will find the money to install a soft play park is quickly returned with this increase in sales.

Why Children's Hospitals Should Have a Soft Play Park
No parents wants to see their child sick and in the hospital. But if this does happen, parents want their children to be as happy as possible. Hospitals are often scary and intimidating places for kids. At the very least, hospitals are incredibly boring to most children. Playing with an iPad and watching TV gets old fast.
